Triathlon community college Program

This 15 week program is for those who can already swim, bike and run (maybe not well), but you can do the three disciplines.  We then train you towards a Sprint Triathlon.  The includes various workshops with local triathlon talents on topics of swimming, biking and running; stroke analysis; training schedule and an entry into a Sprint Tri as your graduation. This is truly for beginners.  The program is offered every April and will begin mid April.

The program includes, but not limited to:

  • A 15 week workout program, with the goal of being able to participate in a triathlon by end of July. The program will begin mid April.
  • Orientation 101 & Kickoff – Here you will learn about triathlon overall. Such as, what it is, the differences between different events/races, terminology, etiquette, things you’ll need such as equipment and more.
  • Swim 101 – Here you will have “Professors” present to watch your stroke. You will also do a baseline time trial during this workout. You will also receive different types of workouts that you can do on your own.
  • Swim 102 – This is a follow-up to the Swim 101. Here you will have “Professors” present to watch your stroke for improvements. You will also receive different types of workouts that you can do on your own.
  • Transition 101 –  Here we will take you through bike etiquette and proper technique to riding a bike. Here we will practice running off the bike with a simulated brick workout. This is a group practice where you will run and bike.
  • Swim 201 –
  • Swim 202 – This is the final pool swim workshop
  • Bike 101 – Here we will go on a 10 mile ride followed by a mini run.
  • Swim 201 – will be at Kershaw Park, Canandaigua. Open water swimming will be the topic. We will swim in open water in order to practice in the open water and swimming with a wetsuit.
  • An entry into the Shoreline Triathlon on Sunday, July 25th
  • A Fleet Feet Technical Tri Top
  • Resources for you to participate in Group Training Opportunities
  • A coupon booklet of savings for footwear, tri gear, wetsuits etc… valued at over $75

This program is valued at over $600, but the Tri CC fee is only $125.

This program will get you to a sprint triathlon, and actually more than that, by the end of July.  We provide the week by week training program you should follow, some of the best multisport talent in the area to teach you about the different disciplines plus the extra amenities from race entries to in store savings.
