Tri Community College

Triathlon community college Program

This 15 week program is for those who can already swim, bike and run (maybe not well), but you can do the three disciplines.  We then train you towards a Sprint Triathlon.  The includes various workshops with local triathlon talents on topics of swimming, biking and running; stroke analysis AND training schedule. This is truly for beginners.  The program is offered every April and prepares athletes for a late July event.

The program includes, but not limited to:

  • Orientation 101 & Kickoff – Here you will learn about triathlon overall. Such as, what it is, the differences between different events/races, terminology, etiquette, things you’ll need such as equipment and more.
  • Swim 101 – Here you will have “Professors” present to watch your stroke and provide suggestions for improvement.
  • Swim 102, Swim 201, Swim 202
  • Transition 101
  • Bike 101 – We will practice running off the bike with a simulated brick workout.
