UrbanFIT Starts April 1st

Fleet Feet Sports first introduced UrbanFIT as a pilot program in the Fall of 2010. Fleet Feet Rochester owners, Boots and Ellen, attended the Fleet Feet Conference in San Diego where they experienced a similar class and decided to bring it to Rochester. This innovative workout is showing Rochester how to blend running with strength training while using the great outdoors!

What the heck is UrbanFIT?
Urban FIT is both an aerobic and anaerobic workout, mixing cardio and strength training. It is outdoors using what nature and our city gives us--no fancy gym equipment needed! Urban Fit is both challenging and fun.   

Goals of UrbanFit: 
1. To try something new and fun
2. To challenge yourself physically in a new way
3. To build total body strength to improve your running and health

What does UrbanFIT entail?
During Urban FIT workouts we will be running a bit but the primary focus is on core strength-- it's a total body workout! We’ll incorporate stairs, hills, benches, and who knows what else! If we can think it up, we will do it!

UrbanFIT Classic:

UrbanFIT Classic is the original 60 minute full-body workout.

UrbanFIT Intense:

UrbanFIT Intense is an UrbanFIT workout packed in to a 45 minute block for the experienced on the go athlete.

UrbanFIT Endurance:

UrbanFIT Endurance is an UrbanFIT workout targeted towards those who like more running mixed in with their strength training. This is perfect for any mud runner or obstacle racer. (75 Minute Classes)



Meet the UrbanFIT Coaches


Maggie Quinn's passion for understanding and nurturing the human psyche blossomed while studying psychology at University of Colorado Boulder. Along with furthering her studies at the Ford Institute for Transformational Training, Maggie is also a certified instructor in countless forms of fitness training including Body Combat, Yoga, Spinning, Core and Stability, Circuit Training and more. An American Council on Exercise certified personal trainer, Maggie has devoted her past 10 years to continuously expanding the wealth of her knowledge and training in order to better serve others in reaching their maximum potential. Rest assured that she can and will help you reach your personal best.

  • Favorite Breakfast Food: Baby spinach, frozen cherries, almond milk and chocolate protein smoothie
  • Food Weakness: Pretzels (specifically pretzel ice cream cones)
  • Maggie is a compassionate motivator and always has a shoulder to lean on!


Bruce Hedlund's passion for coaching is seen throughout his career. He has been a personal trainer for over 16 years and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Bruce is a natural motivator and has coached a wide spectrum of athletes from NCAA Division I Football players to first time exercisers. Bruce is also certified in TRX, Kettlebell Athletics and a USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach. Bruce is an Early Bird and is powered on bravery and a good cup of java.

  • Food Weakness: Anything in the cheese category 
  • Bruce is a natural coach and will get you to achieve your goals and smile while doing it!

Mondays 6:00-7:00PM at Fleet Feet Sports Ridgeway Ave. (UF Classic)

Wednesdays 5:30-6:15AM at Fleet Feet Sports @ The Armory (UF Intense)

Thursday 6:00-7:15PM at Fleet Feet Sports @The Armory (UF Endurance)

Saturday 9:30-10:30AM at Fleet Feet Sports @ The Armory (UF Classic)
