URBAN FIT (plus the new Urban FIT Express)
Fleet Feet Sports first introduced Urban FIT as a pilot program in the Fall of 2010. Fleet Feet Rochester owners, Boots and Ellen, attended the Fleet Feet Conference in San Diego where they experienced a similar class and decided to bring it to Rochester. This innovative workout is showing Rochester how to blend running with strength training while using the great outdoors!
What the heck is Urban FIT?
Urban FIT is both an aerobic and anaerobic workout, mixing cardio and strength training. It is outdoors using what nature and our city gives us--no fancy gym equipment needed! Urban Fit is both challenging and fun.
Goals of Urban Fit:
1. To try something new and fun
2. To challenge yourself physically in a new way
3. To build total body strength to improve your running and health
What does Urban FIT entail?
During Urban FIT workouts we will be running a bit but the primary focus is on core strength-- it's a total body workout! We’ll incorporate stairs, hills, benches, and who knows what else! If we can think it up, we will do it!
*NEW Urban FIT Express:
Urban FIT Express is an intense Urban FIT workout packed in to a 30 minute block for the experienced on the go athlete. Urban FIT Express starts on Wednesday, June 19th. Choose from one of the two time slots to fit your schedule: 6 - 6:30 or 6:45 -7:15. All workouts are at Cobbs Hill Park
Upcoming Urban FIT sessions:
Urban FIT session II begins Monday, June 3rd at 6PM
Urban FIT session III begins Monday, July 29th at 6PM
Urban FIT Express is Wednesday, June 19th at 6:15PM or 7:00PM
Try Urban FIT for FREE on Thursday, May 23rd 6PM at Cobbs Hill Park
Urban FIT sessions will be offered Mondays and Thursdays
Session II Mondays:
June: 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, July: 8th, 15th
Session II Thursdays:
June: 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th July: 11th, 18th
Urban FIT Express Wednesdays:
June: 19th, 26th July: 10th, 17th - just $15 for all 4 classes
You choose between:
- Class I - 6:15PM - 6:45PM
- Class II - 7:00PM - 7:30PM
Any 6 sessions for $35
Any 12 sessions for $60
Any Four 30 minute sessions of UF Express: $15
You can choose which class you want based on your schedule please note there will be no workouts the week of July1st, and locations will change each week. Please be sure to include a valid email address on your active.com or paper registration form.
