TRIATHLON COMMUNITY COLLEGE PROGRAM

This Beginner Triathlon Training program is for those who can already swim, bike and run (maybe not well), but you can do the three disciplines.  We then train you towards a Sprint Triathlon.  The includes various workshops with local triathlon talents on topics of swimming, biking and running; stroke analysis AND training schedule. This is truly for beginners.  The program will begin March 26th and prepares athletes for a June Event - Pittsford Triathlon on June 3rd.  But it can be for any Sprint event in the summer to fall.

WE HAVE REVAMPED THE PROGRAM TO ADD MORE COACHED SWIMS AND BIKE/RUN WORKOUTS.

Free Informational Sessions:
  • Monday, March 19th at 6PM at Fleet Feet Brighton
  • Tuesday, March 20th at 7PM at Fleet Feet Brighton
  • Thursday, March 22nd at 7:15PM at Fleet Feet Ridgeway

The program includes, but not limited to:

  • An 11 week program with the goal of completing the Pittsford Sprint Triathlon on June 3rd, 2012
  • Orientation and kickoff – Wednesday March 28th 6PM at Fleet Feet Brighton, where you will learn all about the program, terminology, equipment, etiquette, the difference between different races/events and much more!
  • Online training tool, workoutlog, track your progress, view workouts and communicate with coaches
  • Unlimited access to all coaches
  • Weekly Coaches Swim workouts will include:
  • Two swim groups based on experience and ability to maximize personal improvement
  • 6-7:30 group I, 7:30-9 group II (no swim the week of April 9th due to Spring Break)
  • Technique drills and stroke critique tailored to each individual
  • Staggered workouts based on ability to increase endurance level for all participants
  • Pointers on how to survive the open water swim

  • We will educate you on the following: bike fit and technique, bike/run brick workouts, how to keep your bike in optimum performance condition, & tips for swim/bike and bike/run transitions

  •  Coupon booklet of saving for footwear, tri gear, wetsuits and much more!

The fee for this program is $200 by March 22nd and increases to $225 on March 23rd.
