June 13th-August 13th
Girls Run the ROC is a collaboration with Fleet Feet Sports and Girl Scouts of Western New York, Inc. to introduce Girl Scouts to health and fitness, teach them to set goals, and empower them to make positive changes in their own lives! Through various 8-week Healthy Living programs, girls will Discover, Connect, and Take Action!
Girls Run the ROC 8-week programs include:
Three Program Options:
Troop Obligation: Leaders will hold one group workout each week, and the girls will have two “homework” workouts. Time and day of the group workout is at the discretion of the leader. Leaders and any adult volunteers must be registered with Girl Scouts of America and adhere to all Safety Activity Checkpoints. More information on Safety Activity Checkpoints can be found here.
Registration: Girls Run the ROC will open on May 16th, 2016 and close on June 10th, 2016. Each girl must complete a registration packet that includes a current Girl Scouts of Western New York Girl Health History Record, signed Girls Run the ROC program waiver, and completed Women Run the ROC race registration form to be returned to the store by the Troop Leader. Online registration can be found here.
If parents, guardians, or siblings would like to sign up for the Women Run the ROC 5K race on 8/13 registration can be found here.
