Nature has obviously looked favorably on the Greater Rochester trail runner. We have so many wonderful places to explore in all directions – Letchworth, Mendon Ponds, Durand Eastman, Lucien Morin Park, just to name a few. Of course, for any trail outing, the choice of footwear is also important. My favorite: the Saucony Peregrine 6. This shoe is comfortable and lightweight but provides an aggressive tread for secure footing. There’s enough room for my toes to splay comfortably, but doesn’t sacrifice a secure, snug, but tight midfoot fit. The latest version adds Saucony EVERUN cushioning in the heel for a software, more cushioned ride. The shoe features hexagonal lugs of different size and direction for superior grip and traction.
