Chip Handout
No Chip No Time
The 2007 Preferred Care Rochester Half and Full Marathon will be timed by YellowJacket Racing of Rochester, NY using the AMB-it Active Chip System.
By following just a few simply directions you can help make the timing of the race go nice and smooth.
- Chip pick will be on RACE DAY ONLY from 5AM to 7AM at Frontier Field
- Chips will be on numbered racks in front of the stage at Frontier Field.
- Get in the appropriate line according to the your bib number
- Just show your bib number and you will be given the corresponding ship. You must have your bib number in order to get your chip. Have your bib number ready so we can get your chip quickly.
- If you are on a relay, the anchor person (last person) will get the chip and wear it.
- Wear the timing chip on your ankle with the provided neoprene strap
- Do not wear on wrist, in a pocket or take the chip off
- It is best to put the chip on as soon as you get it so you don't lose it
- NO CHIP NO TIME, so make sure you have it on your ankle
- At the finish a volunteer will remove the chip from your ankle
If you drop out on course, please report back to the finish to return your timing chip and to let the officials know that you are no longer in the race
If you do leave with your timing chip please contact Fleet Feet Sports ASAP at 585-697-3338 to report it. Chips need to be returned to 2210 Monroe Ave, Rochester, NY 14618 by Wednesday September 19th.
Lost or non returned timing chips will be billed at $90.00 per chip |

- Full, Half and 1st leg of relay participants will take the Shuttle Buses from Frontier Field (corner N. Plymouth Ave & Morrie Silver Way) to the Start Line anytime from 6AM until 7:10AM. Yes, you will need to take the shuttle busses, so DO NOT plan to be dropped off at the start line. This way you can get your timing chip.

Packet Pickup for the Preferred Care Rochester Half/Full/Relay Marathon will be at the Health & Wellness Expo on Friday, September 14th and Saturday, September 15th from 10-7PM at the Main Street Armory at 900 East Main Street in Rochester (across from the Auditorium).
We can not stress the importance of getting your packet at the expo. Do not wait until race morning unless you truly have to. The less you have to do race morning the better. If you get your packet at the Expo, all you'll have to do race morning is get your chip and get on the bus to the start.
Also, only the participant can get their packet, therefore, you won't be able to get your spouses, your relay teams', your best friend's etc... Only you can get your packet.
This year's Health & Wellness Expo will include national vendors such as Race Sponsor: Brooks Sports. Plus you'll find awesome deals from Asics, Nike, New Balance, Mizuno and Saucony. Bay Creek Paddle will be exhibiting some of their latest Kayaks, there will be a kids play gym by the YMCA, Main Sponsor Preferred Care will be doing free blood pressure checks, plus the concession stands will be open and you can come for lunch or dinner. In additon, you can visit other local gyms, chiropractors, Yoga and Pilates Studios, pharmaceutical companies and more. | |
