Awareness and avoidance skills will be emphasized as the first line of personal safety.

In this personal safety overview you will learn:
* how to recognize potentially dangerous situations and avoid them.
* to assess situations quickly and respond decisively.
* the different types of offenders, their unique characteristics, and how best
to handle each one.
* verbal and physical tools to end an attempted assault and get to safety.
* safety tips to use when at home, traveling, driving, shopping etc.

 

John  holds a 5th Degree Black Belt Hattatsu Ryu, 3rd Degree Black Belt Tatsu Do, 3rd Degree Black Belt Shingitai Jujitsu,Level 1 Kapap (Israeli Martial Art) Instructor with Major Avi Nardia and over 22 years of martial arts training.
He is the director of the NY State Rape and Assault Prevention (RAP) Association and advisory board member at Rape Crisis Services of Rochester. Over the years, he has trained with and instructed many law enforcement and military personnel making him one of the most sought after and respected instructors in the area. John has also been one of Rochester’s top personal trainers since 1988.
