Past Results
Lake Effect Snowshoe Festival has now expanded to a full blown SnowShoe Suite of events, several of which are Empire State Games Qualifiers. The Sprints are directed by Mike McCullough, Jan McCullough, Lou Katz and Mike Weinpress. The Distance Events are directed by YellowJacket Racing. There is literally something for everyone to try.
Packet Pickup/Last Minute registration is Friday, January 23rd (10-7PM) & Sat. January 24th (9-5PM) at Fleet Feet Sports, 2210 Monroe Ave, Rochester, NY 14618. You can register day of as well, but we do discourage that.

Course Description
Distance SnowShoe Course Description: The 4 Mile Snow Shoe course is a double loop, where one loop is 2 miles. Thus the 2 Mile Fun Shoe is one loop. The 13 Miler is 6 loops of the 2 mile course. Yes, it will equal 13 miles. The course itself will be dependent on the amount of snow, but it's a mixture of fields and trails. For the 13 miler, you must start your last lap by the 4 hour mark.
Sprint SnowShoe Course Description: This will be a 400 Meter track course in the open field area.
Race Schedule:
7:30AM Registration for all events Begins
8AM The Half Marathon Begins
8:30AM Sprint Races begin with the 1500 going first, then the 100, 200 and 400. Each will begin upon completion of the previous event.
10AM The 2 Mile Fun Shoe and 4 Mile Snow Shoe Begins
11:30AM Awards Ceremony

4 Mile Awards: Overall Male and Female and First & Second M/F in 10 Year Age Groups
Half Marathon Awards: Overall Male and Female and First & Second M/F in 10 year age groups
Volunteers: We are seeking volunteers for this event to work the Aid Station and Water Stop on the run Course, Finish Line and Sag runner. For your time your will receive a discount eligible for future YellowJacket Racing Events - called a Buzz Buck. If interested contact us here.

| Note: We will have some shirts left over after the 19th, but to guarantee yourself a shirt, it is advised to preregister. Plus First Come First Serve on snowshoe rentals. |
Please note: For half marathoners, you must start your final lap by 12PM
If you plan on renting SnowShoes please denote on your application. Rentals are on first come first serve basis through Fleet Feet Sports.
If no snow, then the events will become a trail race. The Sprints will still take place, and snowshoes must be worn.

Directions to Park: Take Route 104 to Holt Rd. Head North on Holt Rd towards Lake Rd. Turn Left onto Lake Rd. The Lodge is on the right about 1/4 mile down on Lake.
Parking: Space is limited in the Kanatota Lots. Please park close together. Overflow parking is near the White House Parking Lot on the Lake or at the Pier Lot area. Also be wary of traffic on Lake Rd.
