Meet the Staff
Meet Kim Rapp
Kim, wife and mother of 3, originally went to college for acting. Through her youth she ran competitively in High School and never gave up the love of running. Kim has over 10 marathons under her belt including NYC, Rochester, Ontario Shores and Boston Marathon. Kim's new found love are ultramarathons. Her first taste in the ultra world was with the Canandaigua 50 Ultra in 2005 and now is hooked having completed the Vermont 100 and now is training for another 100 miler. Kim, our resident health food fan, adds extra energy to the Fleet Feet environment through her enthusiasm of running, listening to the tales of beginners and gaining inspiration from the experienced runners. Kim is a great example of being able to juggle raising kids, being a dedicated wife, working full-time AND finding time to go for her runs.
Meet Mark Andrews

Mark has known Fleet Feet since his days training in North Carolina near the Fleet Feet Carrboro store. Mark, an avid runner and very talented one at that, grew up in Canisteo, NY. Mark has a very strong health and fitness background. He has been a Personal Trainer and worked in the fitness industry most of his life (including having managed and owned a gym) and loves working with people to get them fit and into exercise. He enjoys seeing individuals improve and learn to enjoy exercise. His passion is running, but has recently taken a liking to golf as well. Mark also brings a great wealth of knowledge, not only in fitness and strength training, but overall running training having competed in distances from the mile to the ultra marathon. Mark is a great resource to talk to about your exercise program and he can provide valuable tips to help you toward your goal. Mark currently is our Receiving Manager, which exudes his aptitude to details, by making sure the back room is neat and organized while ensuring product is in house properly.
Meet Barb Boutillier
Fleet Feet's General Manager comes to us with 12 years experience working for Gap Inc. Her most recent position with Gap was Center Manager, where she managed 3 stores with over 100 employees each. Barb grew up watching and cheering for her younger brother (Boots) in races all over the country. As a recent graduate of our Fleet Feet No Boundaries Program, she has now completed a few 5k's of her own, with Boots cheering her on! Barb brings a fun and enthusiastic energy, along with great merchandising and apparel skills. She enjoys hiking, biking, snowshoeing, interior design, photography and hanging out with friends and family.
Meet Nate Lowe
Fleet Feet is pleased to introduce, Nate Lowe, an RIT grad and Spencerport HS Alumni. Nate has been running since his youth and ran all three seasons for RIT, and was Team Captain. Nate was also one of the RIT Team Members that ran across the United States, an amazing experience that he couldn't duplicate. Recently married, Nate helps his wife with chores on the dairy farm when he's not at the store. Nate simply loves running, loves the lifestyle, is a running shoe geek and delves into the mechanics of how the foot functions. Graduating with a degree in Biotechnology, that skill truly flows over to how he looks at proper footwear fitting.
Meet Matt Avery
Matt is currently a junior at SUNY Brockport, majoring in Computer Science. He runs on Brockport's Varsity XC, indoor and outdoor track teams. Matt is our resident "Spike Geek". He loves to learn about spikes, wear spikes, sell spikes...he's all spikes, all the time! In addition to running, Matt enjoys playing and recording music.

Meet Andy White

Andy (aka "Sean's roommate") was referred to us by a former employee, and we hired him because of his enthusiastic personality and willingness to help out in any way. He has bartending experience, which has taught him to be very attentive to customers' needs. Andy recently graduated from Nazarath with a degree in Psychology. With a goal of becoming a school counselor, he's enrolled in the Masters program at Roberts Wesleyan this Fall. Andy recently proposed to his girlfriend and they plan to get married in 2012. He loves to play basketball and soccer, which is where he does a majority of his running. "Give me a ball and I'll run all day." We're happy to have Andy and his cheerfulness at the store. Added bonus - he doesn't like chocolate, so that leaves more for us!
Meet Erik Yaekel
Erik comes to us from the world of Golf. He is an Assistant PGA Professional who has worked as a golf instructor, pro shop employee, ranger and Golf Camp Director. He also enjoys many other outdoor activities, including snow and water skiing, boxing, running, cycling and triathlon (he's pictured above, with Boots, after finishing the Spring Classic Duathlon). Erik, his wife and their 1-year-old daughter, Finley, live in Pittsford. Erik is a great addition to our team, as he brings a lot of spirit and a great attitude to the store every day. Thanks to Erik, the high five is back and stronger than ever!
Meet Carla Velarde

We're hoping that Carla will be our future in-house doctor! She recently graduated from U of R with a degree in Brain & Cognitive Sciences, and is currently applying to medical schools. We first met Carla when she started running with our Winter Warrior group and Distance Training Program. She ran the Flower City Half Marathon as her first half. Carla has a background in ballet and will be performing the lead role in the Nutcracker with the Flower City Ballet. She has participated in a medical mission in Peru and looks forward to returning there in the future. Carla enjoys spending time with her family, including her mother, pictured above with Carla at the Corporate Challenge.
Meet Maureen Unterborn
Maureen was introduced to Fleet Feet as a participant and graduate of our Triathlon Community College. She has been a teacher for 18 years in the Victor School District. Maureen is married and has 3 children and 1 grandson. She likes sewing, running, biking and spending time with her husband. She's currently training for a half marathon, and also has a new bike that she looks forward to using in an upcoming duathlon. Maureen is one of the nicest employees we've ever had...and all of our current employee agree!
Meet Dani Brown
You'll see Dani at the store or at races helping out during school breaks, summers and the occasional weekend when she's home visiting her family. Dani plays soccer, runs many races (some with her active parents), and recently participated in the canoe portion of the Flower City Challenge as well as ran the Flower City Half Marathon. Dani attends NYU and is a great student, athlete and employee...and she likes to bake so we like when she's around.
